Constructing a New Brick Fireplace and Installing a Wood Burning Stove

Happy Customers
Like many homes built in the last 60 years, they did not have a chimney, but this need not prevent you from having a wood burning stove. We are able to either supply and fit a fireplace, or as in this case build a bespoke one to the customers’ requirements. The fire’s flue is then fitted through the property’s wall, or in the case of a bungalow through the roof.
After visiting our woodburning stove showroom in Exmouth to have a look at the stoves on display and peruse suppliers’ catalogues, we arranged to visit the customers’ home to carry out a free survey to check their choice of fire and fireplace would be suitable for their room and property.
Our engineers constructed the brick fireplace from scratch and installed a made-to-measure hearth in riven slate, because it is essential for safety reasons that a wood stove is installed on a fire-proof level base.
Finally, an ACR wood burning stove was fitted on the hearth and a Mi-Flue system was fitted up the newly constructed chimney breast and out the side wall of the property. The new feature fireplace was finished off with a Focus wood beam which was made to size.
If you are not sure your home can accommodate the wood burning stove that you desire, do not hesitate to call into our wood burning stove showroom in Exmouth to seek our experienced advice and view the different styles of stoves we have on display. We offer a free home survey to check that your room and home is suitable for the wood burning stove you would like.
The customers were very happy with the final result and we are proud to have completed another full fireplace removal and stove fitting job here in Devon.
