Shower Room Installation
The original layout consisted of a free-standing toilet and pedestal sink and a separate shower to the right of the sink accessed through a pull out glass door. Next to the shower were cupboards housing a washing machine and storage.
The customers visited our bathroom showroom to look at our bathroom displays for inspiration and took away brochures to browse through to choose the fittings they liked. Next a home survey was completed so that the customers could discuss what they wanted done and we could advise accordingly. Measurements were taken and an estimate was produced for the customer.
The customers wanted to take out the shower cubicle and replace it with a much larger walk-in shower that would be accessed where the washing machine and storage cupboards were. This involved knocking down the dividing walls and removing all the shower and cupboard fittings.
Once the customers were satisfied with the estimate, a date was arranged for the work to commence. First of all, the room needed to be stripped of the fittings, tiles, shower cubicle and cupboards with their dividing wall. Next, pipework and electrics were installed before the tiling was commenced.
The cupboards are from Roper Rhodes and are fitted with a Comfort Height toilet and basin from Tavistock Bathrooms. The shower screen is made from frosted glass and this was specially prepared for the customers and this has been fitted with a shower from Mira. The tiles are from Wiseman.
The customers choose a mirror from Roper Rhodes that has Bluetooth connect-ability, which means it can play music from a mobile or any other device that has Bluetooth. What better way to accompany your singing in the shower!
